This project explores the development potential of a former nurses’ home on the Portavida site in Genk.
The building has stood empty for many years, but the client wishes to retain and convert it due to its heritage value.
Our study consisted of a design-based research into the potential conversion into residential units, combined with technical surveys of the condition of the concrete and the roof structure.
